Amazing video. im 33 single student..got another year atleest left to study veterinary medecine. Not sure what i really want to do with my life but i know animals is what im best at. I quit my office job back when i was 28 and started studying again and ye it was hard and still is financially living off inheritance etc. Major things ive learned: Nothing is worse than being bored, life is too shirt for that. - It better to be alone than to be with the wrong person - you cannot change other people -everyon climbs their own ladder

when i was in my 30s i lost a lot of friends because they got engaged and married and had kids. they didn't and couldn't spend time with me anymore and when they did, they almost exclusively talked about their husband and kids. it was really a shitty time in my life. you want to spend time with quality people and there aren't many who have time

Thank you for telling your story about your failure in investing. There are many people who tell their success stories, and we usually do not see failure stories, which makes us live in our imagination that we will succeed and become a millionaire, and we do not realize that it is possible that we lose.

What’s interesting to me is ppl will be aholes at every economic level. It’s not just the rich and successful ppl. The store clerks, bums and low paid people can be just as rude and mean. Aholes don’t have a class but they do use their A$$… and use it.

By the way, it's ok being single in your 70's also... One finds out that there is no substitute for age, Wisdom becomes more understandable, and purpose more important, well, that's what I decided is the truth for me... just saying 🧡🇬🇧

You left out a big one which is mainly pressuring women and that's having kids. If you want a family you need to start in your as early as possible so you have better chances of having healthy children the older you get the more chances there are of your kids coming out and they just might not come out at all... And that applies for men who want to be Fathers as well because you need to obviously get with somebody to make that happen unless you have enough money to pay for IVF with a surrogate.

I still think you can do videos around life advice/motivation/purpose etc at any age, regardless of circumstance. The reality is younger people still need guidance in arguably the most convoluted & complex society we've ever known. Plus, the problem of the human existence is a fundamental shared reality for all of us, no matter how society evolves. Alan watts has a lot of good stuff that helps reframe things for sure.

A manager was giving me a lecture one day, and while she was right in some ways about my mistakes, she was being an asshoIe. No dignity, no respect, no delicacy. She even said to my boss, her colleague, "Is there anything you want to add?" Then the next day, she said "How are you?" to me. Like, what??? Is that an asshoIe move or what?

As a kid, I was brought up in an environment where achievement at career or work meant happiness. I slogged through my childhood and early adulthood, overworking, sacrificing a lot and yes I did achieve some good grades and did well, but now close to 40 I realise that I haven't really made as extraordinary a career or even a life, that I was conditioned into believing in childhood. In fact all my friends who goofed off and really had fun, are far ahead of me. And in the process I never really asked myself who I am and what do I like. I question my entire life and feel stuck about the future as well. This video was some solace. So god bless you man.

I know 2 personally that are single and 37. No one is pressuring them. One is single because he says he wants to earn a bunch of money first, and because women his age just want kids and women younger are crazy. The second person i know is a woman she's single, she basically says because some men are too clingy and some aren't clingy enough.

Im sorry to reply rn because i know how old this video is. Im seriosly without hardly anyone in my life. Seriously reaching out to you because I didn't see any links to your video because i have literally 1 friend in my entire life and no kids so i didn't see the one for people with no kids but i severely hate everything that I am and about myself because I am severely out of energy and self esteem. I literally bought a gun just as a final way out when i decide i cant deal with my existence because of how alone i am. I have no family because my own mother rejected me for how much I look like my father and because of the severe abuse my father put me and my family through and my father who abused us all. I look very much like my father and my mother which i know severely resents me for because of not only how i look like him disgusts her but also because of my political views goes against hers because i dont agree with her feminist view and also because she hates people who believe in amendments. I am not republican but i dont agree with democrats in the U.S.A because they are doing more harm than good rn so im on the fence. I dont have much of any family because of the complexity of how all my family cant stand one another. I literally dont have anyone to turn to and cant aford a therapist because of how out of shape our economy is as well as i am. Please help. Anyone who can sympathize or at least respect my views and position. Im at witts end

So sorry to hear that you are in such a difficult situation. It sounds like you definitely need some support and a way to connect with new people. It’s definitely not easy to do, especially when you feel down about yourself. But trust me that if you keep trying you will find some wonderful friends and people to share life with. I have been in some very difficult and lonely situations myself so I don’t want to discount how hard it is for you right now. Start with simple self care if you can. And reach out to some social services if you are feeling like you want to end things. There is always a choice my friend. I am sending you love and support from afar. Know that you are not alone and that times will get better if you persist. ❤️
